These are Pope Francis' prayer intentions for the year 2025
Every month, Pope Francis asks Catholics around the world to pray for a particular intention. This initiative is accompanied by a video in which the Pontiff explains the reasons why he has chosen that particular intention.
1. January: Right to Education. We pray that migrants, refugees, and those affected by wars always see their right to education respected, necessary to build a better world.
2. February: Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. We pray that the ecclesial community may welcome the desires and doubts of young people who feel called to serve Christ's mission in the priesthood and religious life.
3. March: Families in Crisis. We pray that divided families may find healing in forgiveness, rediscovering the riches of each person even in their differences.
4. April: Good Use of New Technologies. We pray that the use of new technologies does not replace human relationships, respects the dignity of people, and helps address the crises of our time.
5. May: Working Conditions. We pray that through work, each person is fulfilled, families are supported with dignity, and society is humanized.
6. June: Compassion for the World. We pray that each of us finds consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus and learns from His Heart compassion for the world.
7. July: Formation for Discernment. We pray that we increasingly learn to discern, to choose paths of life, and to reject anything that leads us away from Christ and the Gospel.
8. August: Common Living. We pray that societies where coexistence seems difficult do not succumb to the temptation of confrontation over ethnic, political, religious, or ideological reasons.
9. September: Relationship with All Creation. We pray that, inspired by St. Francis, we experience our interdependence with all creatures, loved by God and worthy of love and respect.
10. October: Collaboration Among Different Religious Traditions. We pray that believers of different religious traditions work together to defend and promote peace, justice, and human fraternity.
11. November: Suicide Prevention. We pray that people struggling with suicidal thoughts find in their community the support, care, and love they need and open up to the beauty of life.
12. December: Christians in War Contexts. We pray that Christians living in war or conflict contexts, especially in the Middle East, are seeds of peace, reconciliation, and hope.
